Share your learnings from the Women Empowerment session and answer the question: "What makes you feel empowered?"

I am empowered when I believe in myself and don’t let fear or other people’s opinions stop me. Having support, knowing my purpose, and being able to make my own choices give me strength and confidence to move forward.

My co NSA cadettes makes me empowered specially NSA alumnus that are already graduated, promoted, and active seafarers, officers and angineers, because if they can do something that helps the maritime and world Trade then I can also do these things

When I have confidence in myself, speak up without fear, and have the opportunity to grow, I feel empowered. I feel strong and self-assured when I'm respected and supported.

As an individual I feel empowered most when I remind myself that I have God who continuously guide and support me. My confidence and the experience of leading a team and its member to its full potential and achieve great success after. I feel empowered also by my co-members when they support me and have the same vision and goal in performing successfully.

One thing that makes me feel empowered is knowing that I am capable of doing things in my own way, all while breaking stereotypes along the way. I know I can leave a mark as a woman and have other people know that I was the one who did that.

From the Women Empowerment seminar, I learned that empowerment comes from self-belief, equal opportunities, and support. I feel empowered when my voice is heard, my abilities are trusted, and I am confident to stand up for myself.

I feel empowered when I am trusted for my skills and work, not judged by my gender. For example, even as a first-year student, being given hands-on tasks, allowed to learn onboard equipment (welding, using heavy duty tools) and treated as capable motivates me to work harder and improve myself.

In my current environment being able to overcome the physical and mental challenges makes me feel empowered most of the time since I can sense that I am fit for the maritime field. And it brings great pride to myself that I have been able to get into this industry.

Being welcomed and feel treated equally onboard a ship as one woman in the engine department on my cadetship experience makes me feel empowered and proud to myself as NSA scholar that made me the woman i am right now who can be a future engineer in a male dominated field. Indeed, that in this path we are in, many are called but few are chosen.
